McCarthy Group of Florists is seeking a Comptroller, required to oversee some accounting and administrative functions of a retail florist's Georgia-based home office. Located in Alpharetta, the office is home to the President, his wife and also the company's Internet department. The person appointed will be an experienced individual, who may or may not have experience in the retail sector. He or she will be a highly able and willing addition, with an eye for accuracy and detail. The successful applicant will be comfortable communicating at all levels and with a range of companies. He or she will also be adaptable enough to fulfill a range of ancillary duties for and on behalf of the CEO. A range of duties shall include: AP / AR, the writing and recording of checks, balancing of credit cards plus general administrative functions, as required. Additionally, he or she will be able and willing to assist the person responsible for the web business of the company, to include uploading products accurately and promptly. The successful candidate will have a personable and adaptive nature, be well-versed in all aspects of communication and be comfortable working within an environment that can be fast-paced an unpredictable. The job will entail a 5 and one half day work week.
